100 Years of Kalorama
Celebrating a century of community.
2026 marks 100 years since the naming of our beautiful home, Kalorama.
To celebrate, the Kalorama Collective, Mt Dandenong & District Historical Society, and some of our wonderful local friends are bringing together a series of activities that reflect what makes this place so special…. its spaces, its people, its stories, and the connections that shape it.
The 100 Postcards Project
We’re inviting the community to help create a living record of Kalorama in 2026.
Through art, writing, photos, or any expression of your beautiful view of Kalorama. We want to capture what Kalorama means to the people who call it home today. We are doing this with the 100 Postcards Project.
We’re asking locals of all ages to create a postcard that answers a simple question:
What makes Kalorama special to you?
You can draw, paint, write, collage, or include photos, whatever feels right.
Your postcard might capture:
A favourite place
A memory or story
A local event
The feeling of being here
A collection of these postcards will become part of a community exhibition at Karwarra Gardens, alongside historical material, connecting past and present.
