Who are the Kalorama Collective?

We’re locals.

We’re the people you see at the post office, at the school gate, at community events….. and sometimes the ones quietly organising them behind the scenes.

Kalorama Collective is a community-led group created by and for the people of Kalorama and surrounds. We exist to bring people together, create community connections, and make our slice of the hills a place where everyone feels they belong.

How it started and what we do now.

After the 2021 storm, our community showed up for each other. What began as a grassroots response, checking in, sharing information, helping where it was needed, quickly became something more. The Kalorama Collective was born from that moment.

Today, we focus on building connection before it’s needed in a crisis. We create opportunities for people to come together through local events and gatherings, creative and social activities, and community initiatives.

Because when people know each other, communities are stronger.

For Community, Not Profit

The Kalorama Collective are a volunteer-run, not-for-profit community group.

Everything we do is powered by locals, and any money raised through events or merchandise goes straight back into the community, helping us run more events, support the Hub, and create spaces for people to connect.

It’s all about creating those little moments that help keep people connected.

The Community Hub

You’ll find us at the Kalorama Community Hub, located at the Post Office.

The home of the Kalorama Collective, and a shared space for the community. Whether that’s attending an event, running a workshop, or simply dropping in for a chat.

This is a community, not a club.

If you’re in Kalorama, or one of our much loved neighbours you’re part of it.

Come along to an event, visit the Hub, or get involved, we’d love to have you.
