Knitting Workshop: Cables

Add texture and interest to your knitting by learning the art of cables.

In this workshop, you’ll discover how to create classic cable patterns and read the charts that guide them. We’ll cover different types of cables, how to twist stitches in different directions, and how to incorporate cables into your own projects.

This class is perfect for knitters who are comfortable with the basics (knit, purl, increases and decreases) and are ready to add more visual interest and technique to their work.

You’ll learn:

  • How to knit a variety of cable patterns

  • How to use cable needles

  • How to read and interpret cable charts

Skill Level: Basic knitting skills (cast on, knit, purl, increases/decreases)
Supplies: Bring along some yarn and needles. A cable needle will be available if you don't have one.
