Learn a faster, more efficient style of knitting used by many experienced knitters around the world.

In this workshop, you’ll explore Continental knitting, where the yarn is held in the left hand. This technique can increase your speed, improve tension control, and give you options for colourwork knitting with two strands of yarn.

This class is ideal for English style knitters who are comfortable with the basics and want to experiment with new techniques to make their knitting smoother and more enjoyable or beginners wanting to learn continental knitting from the start!

You’ll learn:

  • How to hold your yarn for Continental knitting

  • Basic stitch execution in the Continental style

  • Tips for maintaining even tension

Skill Level: No skills needed
Supplies: Bring along some yarn and needles if you have them, otherwise materials to get you started can be provided
